The Esplanade Association will be welcoming summer and the Esplanade program season with Sunday Fun in the Park, a community day just for the fun of it, on Father’s Day, June 17, 2012 from 2:00pm-4:00pm.

This fun filled afternoon will include Parkland Games with Knucklebones, Family Fun Yoga, Fishing, Zumba® fitness class, Arts & Crafts, Music and more! All activities are free and open to the public, and will take place next to the Arthur Fiedler Statue on The Esplanade. Bring friends, neighbors and the whole family for a pleasant afternoon to celebrate summer and dear old Dad on Boston’s beautiful Esplanade.

As of 6/5/12, the schedule is as follows:

2:00-4:00pm

• Arts & Crafts

3:00-3:30pm

• Family Fun Yoga with Bare Bones Yoga

We’ve done it! The ribbon cutting ceremony for the Esplanade Playspace was held Friday, October 28th. We had a great crowd even it was quite cold. As expected, the kids LOVE the park. Jean delivered a great speech, “the playspace project could teach the kids some valuable lessons about not giving up, working together, and appreciating a community that loves you.”

Thanks Jean, Tani and everyone who worked so hard in making this happen!
