The Friends of the Esplanade Playspace held a lunch reception fundraiser on Wednesday, October 13th, at a historical home in Beacon Hill. The Friends and nearly 100 supporters of the playspace gathered to honor four notable Boston women and to raise awareness and funds for the playspace project. In attendance were Department of Conservation and Recreation (“DCR”) Commissioner Rick Sullivan, DCR Director of Partnerships Conrad Crawford, DCR Senior Planner Rick Corsi, as well as State Representative Marty Walz inflatables for sale cheap. The honorees were Lois Kunian and Sue Prindle, noted for their work on the Clarendon Street Playground, Holly McGrath responsible for the Tadpole Playground and Jeryl Oristaglio honored for her work on the Stoneman Playground. We would like to thank all of our friends, neighbors, The Esplanade Association, Representative Marty Walz, Mayor Thomas Menino, Counselor Mike Ross and the entire DCR staff for their support!
